For planters without drainage we recommend the double-pot method. To double-pot, keep your plant in a nursery pot that has sufficient drainage and place it into the ceramic planter. The ceramic essentially becomes a cachepot. You can either take the plant out and water thoroughly before putting it back in your planter, or water your plant from the bottom. To do this, pour a couple inches of water into your ceramic and let the plant absorb the water. When the plant is adequately watered dump out the excess water.
